Ambition

Ambition can be defined as an eager or strong desire to accomplish something. Anyone that has ever created anything, given this world any value, or simply aspired to greater heights, had to have a certain ambitious quality in their personality.


So, the word ambition has been sticking out to me as of lately. I have been discovering in a wonderful way what it means to be ambitious for others. To actually have a driving passion to see others succeed in the Kingdom of God. I have always been a passionate woman and its a wonderful personality trait but I have not always been passionate about what Jesus is passionate about. In the past my tendencies were to let my passions drive me instead of letting the purposes of God drive my passion. I am discovering that something really phenomenal happens when I let Jesus drive my passions...actually its not that phenomenal since it should be normal for a follower of Jesus to be passionate about what he is passionate about...people. Since He has been driving my passion, I have discovered this raging ambition rising up in me for others. I'm seeing too that many people do not have someone in there life who is ambitious for them. The world is full of hurting, lonely, broken people who do not know who they are. People are just waiting for someone to rise up and truly care for the well being of their soul. I want to be a woman who speaks destiny into others lives, who calls out the things of God in them and redeems the lost by the love of Christ. This is the only thing that matters in this life- to love God and love His people.
